For generations, ours has been a bond built the old-fashioned way — not through announcements or notices, but over shared meals, festive gatherings and the simple comfort of familiar faces in a city far from where our story began.
Long before we had formal Bidasar Nagrik Sangh (BNS), we had each other — neighbours who became family, and a community that never let distance become an excuse for disconnect.

This website is our way of carrying that spirit forward. As our families grow, move and spread across cities, countries and generations, we felt the need for a space that could travel with them — whether they are the elders who built this Sangh or the children who will inherit it.
Any organisation MUST move with time to keep itself relevant with changing times. This website is also part of objective we had set for ourselves to move in to digital age, keeping in synch with modern times. This would also greater involvement from younger generation who would like to see any information related to our Nagrik Sangh at a click of button on mobile. We have already moved to almost a paperless organisation and this website intends to completely fulfil that objective.
BNS was never meant to be the memory of a single generation. It was meant to be a legacy — one that grows richer each time it is passed on.
This website is that bridge: between Bidasar and Kolkata, between the founders who dreamed of this Sangh and the young hands who will one day lead it.
It is a promise that our values, traditions and togetherness will reach the hands of tomorrow, undiminished and alive. Future office bearers will update it regularly and upload all relevant documents.
It brings greater transparency to how the Sangh functions, and makes information available to every generation — including the occasional trip down memory lane.
